9th Commission Meeting
The North Pacific Fisheries Commission’s 9th annual session marked the 10th Anniversary of the NPFC establishment. The Commission’s objective is to ensure the long-term conservation and sustainable use of fisheries resources in the Convention Area while protecting the marine ecosystems of the North Pacific Ocean. The Commission meets annually to obtain scientific advice, negotiate binding measures for managing and monitoring fishing vessels, and hold members accountable through compliance processes.
